Game Bird Service
At Severn Edge Veterinary Group we have a specialised Game Bird department. This is run by Chris Woodroff who has built up his expertise in this area over many years. His enthusiasm was initially fired during time he spent at the Government Research Laboratory, involving Domestic Poultry.
In 2000, we took over a respected Gamebird and Poultry practice run by Peter Laing in Leominster. Since then we have seen an ever increasing number of submissions on both the Gamebird and Smallholder Poultry side.
Chris has trained a number of vets in the practice who have an interest in this area and support him providing a seven days a week service during the rearing season.
Over the years we have built up a strong rapport with many gamekeepers and shoot captains both near and far, and we are proud to bring these skills to the newly-formed Severn Edge Veterinary Group.
We feel we can offer a high level of service by offering:
- Rapid and onsite Post Mortem Examinations
- Rapid and detailed reporting of Post Mortem Findings
- Availability of site visits if required
- Clinical advice backed up by well-stocked pharmacy
